Some clients are able to get in and out within an hour, so for them the cost is $70. Some book out whole days (8 hours) in hopes to assure they are one hundred percent happy with what they’ve recorded, so for them the cost is $560. It depends entirely on what a client is coming in to achieve/how prepared they are overall. Some enjoy coming in and using their time to bounce ideas off of the recording engineer and test out new sounds, so this will increase their overall session cost. Some come to the studio with a set game plan and perform their best take in under 30 minutes. Just as art is subjective, so is the cost to record a track in a recording studio.
